Gerald Arthur Winter was born in Queens, NY in 1944 and has lived most of his life in New Jersey. A graduate from Ramapo Regional High School, he received his BA in Journalism at RutgersUniversity in 1966, where he serves on the Advisory Board for the School of Communications, Information, and Library Studies (SCILS). A Member of the Authors Guild, Winter published his first short story, “Old Loggerhead” in 1975, when he co-authored The Ski Better Book…skiing from the edges up with John Henry Auran, editor of Skiing Magazine.
